Finn Kretschmer (born June 2, 1994 in Lübeck ) is a German handball player . He plays on the right and right back positions at VfL Lübeck-Schwartau .

Career

Kretschmer began playing handball at NTSV Strand 08 and then played for SC Magdeburg . Then Kretschmer moved to VfL Bad Schwartau . Since the 2011/12 season, Kretschmer has been playing with VfL's A-youth team in the youth Bundesliga . From 2011, Kretschmer was also a member of the men's team. In the summer of 2014 he joined the TV Bittenfeld . With Bittenfeld he rose to the Bundesliga at the end of the 2014/15 season . From the 2015/16 season onwards , Kretschmer played in the Bundesliga with the club, which is now called TVB 1898 Stuttgart . In summer 2018 he left the TVB at his own request and returned to VfL Bad Schwartau, whose team has been VfL Lübeck-Schwartau since 2017 .

Kretschmer was a member of the German national youth team.

Private

His father Holger used to play handball in the Bundesliga. His older brother Nils is a member of the HC Elbflorenz squad .
