Dennstein & Schwarz is an Austrian television film series that has been produced by Film27 in cooperation with ORF and ARD since 2018 . The shooting takes place mainly in Styria . Martina Ebm and Maria Happel play the leading roles .

After the death of Count Florentin Dennstein, the opening of the will comes to a surprise, the co-beneficiary is an illegitimate son of the deceased. While the deceased's daughter-in-law, the lawyer Dr. Paula Dennstein, who legally represents the Dennstein family, takes over Dr. Therese Schwarz from the law firm Biron & Schwarz represented the other side.
While Countess Alexandra Dennstein in the background with Dr. Xaver Biron, the second partner of the law firm Biron & Schwarz, is crazy about their intrigues, Therese Schwarz and Paula Dennstein are getting closer and closer and, after the inheritance matter is over, they open a joint law firm Dennstein & Schwarz .
In her private life, Paula struggles with marital problems, her husband Felix, with whom she has their son Ferdinand, has an affair with the doctor Susanne Reiter. Head of the family Alexandra Dennstein would like to finally get rid of her unloved daughter-in-law and pull it over the table. Paula is represented by Therese in the event of a divorce.

Jan Freitag said on Tagesspiegel.de that the cases were more Liebling Kreuzberg than Boston Legal , and that was not entirely unproblematic. Unlike in Liebling Kreuzberg, the figure drawing tends to be dramaturgically exaggerated. Notorious camera flights over the Alps are just as a hindrance to authenticity as the guitar clink underneath. Stereotypes would wrestle for sovereignty with lack of research. That Dennstein & Schwarz is still worth seeing is not due to the mediocre script; it has to do with the staff in front of the camera.
