action

After Count Florentin Dennstein's death, a surprise comes up when the will is opened: the co-beneficiary is the organic farmer Fritz Lanner, an illegitimate son of the deceased. He was given a third of the total assets of 150 million euros. Fritz was once the great love of young lawyer Dr. Therese Schwarz and is now married to the pregnant Laura Lanner. So far he was completely clueless, as was the rest of the Dennstein family. The daughter-in-law of the deceased, the lawyer Dr. Paula Dennstein, should represent the family with a lawyer. Fritz, on the other hand, turns to the law firm Biron & Schwarz , where he meets his childhood sweetheart Therese, who takes on his representation.

Paula Dennstein initially tries to fob Fritz Lanner with a million euros, but on the advice of his lawyer, he does not agree to it. Countess Alexandra Dennstein offers the second partner of the law firm Biron & Schwarz , Dr. Xaver Biron, to take over the legal representation of the family foundation later, if he settles the matter in your interest. As a result, Biron would like to take over the representation of Fritz Lanner, but Lanner releases the office and hires Therese Schwarz. Paula Because stone is challenging the will in court, on the grounds that the deceased was inferior to a relevant error because there is no clear evidence of paternity. The judge therefore orders a gene test for the possible half-brothers Felix Dennstein and Fritz Lanner. After Therese Schwarz has received a test result that cannot be used in court, according to which there is a very high probability that Florentin Dennstein and Fritz Lanner are not related, Therese tries to accept Paula Dennstein's original offer with one million euros. Countess Alexandra Dennstein rejects this, however, according to her, Fritz should not receive a single cent.

By chance he discovered some love letters from Florentin Dennstein to his mother on his farm. Therese Schwarz hands this over to Paula Dennstein, the two then want to reach an out-of-court settlement, but do not know how to convince their clients of this. After an accident with a firearm in which Biron injured himself, Fritz was placed in custody and was accused of having shot. Although Biron can remember it himself, the countess tells him not to testify until Fritz has renounced his inheritance. The accident was recorded using wild cameras from Ferdinand Dennstein, Paula's son. In addition, Felix Dennstein was previously filmed having sex with the doctor Susanne Reiter. Paula then leaves her husband Felix, Fritz is released from custody on the basis of the available filmic evidence. Therese presents Paula with the result of the genetic test she has received. However, after this contradicts the love letters, the Countess should answer them. She finally admits that Felix is the only son of her and Xaver Biron.

Reviews

Tilmann P. Gangloff from tittelbach.tv wrote: “The story of the alleged inheritance stalker, with its mostly one-dimensional figures and the sometimes cracked-leather performances, often borders on peasant theater .” However, the constellation of the title women is interesting, the image design “with its kitsch aesthetic is older Postcards. "

In the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Oliver Jungs called the film a poorly played inheritance comedy. “Johannes Krisch delivers the most desolate performance as slurping Count Staircase wit, but neither do the two protagonists give their unimaginatively exaggerated characters a single interesting facet. The direction relies entirely on folk slapstick: every box has to tumble down; ... "

Julian Miller, on the other hand, described the film on Oddsmeter.de as well written and charmingly played. This film would understand how to weave the socially intelligent view of the Dennstein aristocratic family into its thematic network in a pleasantly subtle and yet unmistakable manner, while still telling humorously and in a modern way despite the somewhat dusty milieu. Even if the character staff exaggerate for comedic reasons, the line into caricature and thus farce-like remains consistently unbroken.
