Denys Antoine Chahda (born August 19, 1946 in Aleppo , Syria ) is the Syrian Catholic Archbishop of Aleppo .

Life

Denys Antoine Chahda received on 1 July 1973, the sacrament of holy orders and was in the clergy of the Syrian Catholic archeparchy Aleppo incardinated .

On June 28, 2001, Pope John Paul II appointed him Syrian Catholic Exarch of Venezuela and on September 13, 2001, Syrian Catholic Archbishop of Aleppo. The Syrian Catholic Patriarch of Antioch , Ignatius Pierre VIII. Abdel-Ahad , donated him episcopal ordination on December 16 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the bishop of the eparchy Our Lady of Deliverance of Newark , Joseph Younan , and the emeritus archbishop of the Syrian-Catholic Archeparchy Aleppo, Denys Raboula Antoine Beylouni .
