The Department of Concepción is located in the southwest of the Misiones Province in northeast Argentina and is one of 17 administrative units in the province.
It is bordered by the Leandro N. Alem Department to the north, the San Javier Department to the east, Brazil to the south and the Corrientes Province to the west .
The capital of the Concepción is Concepción de la Sierra .
