The Eldorado Department is located in the northwest of the Misiones province in northeast Argentina and is one of 17 administrative units in the province.
It is bordered by the Department of Iguazú to the north, by the Department of General Manuel Belgrano and San Pedro to the east, by the Department of Montecarlo to the south and by Paraguay to the west .
The capital of the Eldorado department is the Eldorado of the same name .
