The company Depenbrock Bau and the Depenbrock Bau Group are in the fourth generation of the family. The company was founded in 1928 by Karl Depenbrock as a haulage company. The first steps in civil engineering were taken by the founder's son, Karl-Heinz Depenbrock, in the 1960s. The current owner and managing director-partner Karl-Heinrich Depenbrock took over the company from his father in 1977 and expanded it into a pan-European construction and civil engineering company.
