The shareholder TV (until November 26, 2015 German investors television shortly DAF own notation: German investors Television ) is a private German Internet - TV channel focusing Exchange and private investment and based in Kulmbach . The Aktionär TV AG is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Kulmbacher Börsenmedien AG owned by Bernd Förtsch .

history
The station started operations on August 4, 2006 and was initially broadcast twelve hours a day exclusively as a live stream on the Internet. From December 2007, between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., it was also broadcast freely via Astra and some cable networks . Since the beginning of 2009, the DAF correspondents have reported several times a day from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. In May 2010, as part of a realignment of the station, the focus was shifted to opinions and recommendations, which should be achieved through more interviews and talks . The first new format of this orientation was the program DAF Closing Bell , which was broadcast live at the close of the US stock market at 9:45 p.m. The New York office on the New York Stock Exchange, which was also used for production for the German news channel N24 , was closed at the end of March 2014 for cost reasons. The longtime correspondent Manuel Koch moved as editor-in-chief to the online channel Wirtschaft TV, which he founded together with Julien Backhaus, and as a freelancer to Deutsche Welle and Focus online.
Since December 1, 2011, the station can be received via the IPTV platform Telekom Entertain . The viewer can also access the program online via the finance portals Onvista and Der Aktionär . There is also the possibility of calling up many of the contributions sent over the past few months via the Internet.
Since August 1, 2012, Conrad Heberling has been chairman of the company's executive board. After positions at RTL2 , ProSiebenSat.1 and Dori Media International, Heberling was most recently responsible for founding, developing and managing Austria 9 TV in Vienna. According to its own information, the editorial team consists of around 30 editors.

At the beginning, the program contents were mainly current economic and financial information, company analyzes and news directly from the stock exchange floor , which should help viewers to invest their money. More than half of the program is broadcast live, and there are also repetitions of previous programs.
Since July 6, 2009, the German investor television broadcast Germany's first daily Finanz-Talk. The show was moderated by Bernhard Jünemann , he is also the namesake of the show. The financial journalist Andreas Scholz has also been reporting for DAF since August 2010. His program Börsenplatz 5 , named after the location of the DAF studio in Frankfurt, deals with current developments in the markets . As the station's chief reporter, he is also often on site at events.
On February 27, 2013 it was announced that the broadcasting time would be extended to a 24-hour program and that the broadcaster would receive a new logo and a new broadcasting schedule. In addition, documentaries from science, history, nature and information series were broadcast in the evening under the slogan Knowledge is worthwhile . In 2013, basketball games were also broadcast live several times. Since March 1, 2015, the station has been broadcasting exclusively finance-specific formats again.
The DAF was nominated in the “Best Business Model” category for the 2010 IPTV Award presented by the German IPTV Association.
Bankruptcy proceedings
On March 6, 2015, bankruptcy proceedings were opened against the station. One of the reasons for the bankruptcy is the high fixed costs that were incurred through satellite broadcasting. These expenses were offset by insufficient income from advertising. “Due to the difficult environment, our TV advertising sales have fallen short of expectations,” said Conrad Heberling, the previous DAF CEO. The increasing regulation of advertising for financial products was problematic: “Numerous providers from the financial sector have completely dispensed with advertising due to ever stricter requirements.” Another reason is the “franc shock”. When the Swiss National Bank abandoned the minimum exchange rate for the franc and then appreciated it sharply, an important advertising customer got into trouble and had to file for bankruptcy.
On April 10, 2015, broadcasting via satellite was finally stopped. The DAF is now to be restructured into a pure Internet TV broadcaster and TV production company.
On November 27, 2015, the broadcaster announced that it had successfully completed the insolvency proceedings and that it is now trading under the name "Der Aktionär TV".
