Tom Hammer is a drug investigator and on the day of his birthday suffered a severe blow of fate. His best friend Andy is shot by two Spaniards in front of his eyes. Since Tom is a cop with body, soul and physical exertion, he goes in search of the murderers without permission. His trail leads him to the high society of Mallorca , where Andy has lived in recent years. He finds out that his friend worked for the mysterious island godmother "The Boss". During his investigation, he meets his ex-girlfriend Steffi, who joins the investigation against his will.
Production and broadcast
In October 2010, RTL commissioned the production of a pilot film entitled Mallorca Detective . The main role went to Tobias Licht . The shooting took place from May 18, 2012 to June 26, 2012 in Cologne and the surrounding area as well as on Mallorca .
The film was shown in Prime Time on RTL on December 27, 2012 under the title Der Ballermann - Ein Bulle auf Mallorca .
When it was first broadcast, it reached a total of 2.84 million viewers, of which 1.40 million were in the relevant target group of 14 to 49 year olds, resulting in a total market share of 9.0% and one of 12.2% in the relevant target group.
