The two poor students, Simon and Jan, landed in prison, and at the behest of the Polish governor of Cracow, Colonel Ollendorf, play a prince and his secretary. But they can outsmart the officer and win the hearts of Countess Nowalska's daughters, Laura and Bronislawa. criticism
The Österreichische Film-Zeitung wrote: “The directors J. and L. Fleck knew how to stage this story with skill, speed and pleasure. The whole plot, which is not in itself new, was given a different direction by the old countess being betrothed to Colonel Ollendorf. Harry Liedtke and Ernst Verebes played the two students very humorous. (...) The photographers Lamberti and Seeber did a consistently good job. "
