Jack left his past as a dealer to become a writer. But his stories don't sell, and so he has to work as a croupier again. Maybe he'll find enough inspiration for a great novel here. When he meets Jani, who wants to pay off her gambling debts by robbing the casino, he has more inspirations than he ever wanted.

“He uses the hysterical happenings on the roulette felt for his novel and comments ironically from the off. A film noir technique - but here it remains open for a long time who will be among the losers and who will not. Jack actor Clive Owen convinces in this intelligent puzzle , the female characters remain rather pale. [...] "
