The hermit is one of the also major arcana -called trump cards of the Tarot .

presentation

An old man in a long hooded cloak stands lonely on a mountain, leaning on a stick. He is holding a lantern. At Haindl you can see the hermits on a mountain praising the moon, in the background you can see the Eye of God (pyramid with eye). He is surrounded by owls.

interpretation

Card IX symbolizes inner conversion, devotion, but also alienation from the world, inner emigration
