The magician is one of the also major arcana -called trump cards of the Tarot .

presentation

Usually you can see the magician with his right hand pointing to heaven and his left hand to earth. On a table in front of him lie the paraphernalia , which are identical to the symbols of the minor arcana.

For Crowley, the magician is the Greek god Hermes , whose arms and paraphernalia form an aleph . Symbols of the card are: winged egg, staff of Hermes, arrow, scroll and winged solar disk.

At Haindl you see a two-faced man who looks both into the day and into the night. His “day face” is old and calm, his “night face” looks young and restless.

interpretation

The magician symbolizes self-confidence, will, shows a person who is absolutely aware of his ability and therefore occasionally tends to be a little arrogant. As a mediator between heaven and earth, between material and spiritual, he symbolizes the human being, which consists of spirit and body.
