The murder of Satan - death of a student
The murder of Satans - death of a student is a documentary of the ARD in the television series The big criminal cases by the director Ulrike Baur with a length of 45 minutes. The documentary, which was broadcast for the first time in Das Erste on May 31, 2001 , is about the Sondershausen murder committed by three teenagers of the then 15-year-old Sandro Beyer. The perpetrators, Hendrik Möbus , Sebastian Schauseil and Andreas K. were founders of the later NSBM band Absurd . Due to the interests of the members, the act was presented in the media as " satanist " motivated, but had nothing to do with actual Satanism.

The film mainly documents the murder of Sandro Beyer from Sondershausen . It shows the exact course of the crime and the court hearings of the three perpetrators. The film also reveals what Hendrik Möbus did in his spare time. Möbus dealt with black copied horror films, some of which were indexed by the BPjS or confiscated nationwide . The film also addresses people's feelings about the murder. Hendrik Möbus did not describe the murder of Sandro Beyer as the murder of Satan, but rather as rescuing fellow human beings from Sandro (in an interview with the American neo-Nazi William Luther Pierce , who founded the National Alliance and started the Free Hendrik Möbus campaign ), and disputed any connection from Satanism. The judge in charge also said:
“In a sense it was a murder of Satan because of this background, but the execution of the deed had nothing to do with a ritual or a satanic act. [...] There is no ritual background, there is no preparation, there is no decoration ... "
Hendrik Möbus's girlfriend at the time said about the murder of her boyfriend at the time that she did not trust Möbus and about his ideological change:
“It surprised me personally. Whereby right and Satanism are perhaps not all that different. So at least in my eyes. Because they are both very inhumane and have a very elitist way of thinking, and that is also what corresponds to Hendrik. He always wanted to be something special, and he also claimed of himself that he had elitist tendencies, and that is how I explain his penchant for the right. "
While Möbus fled to the United States after being charged again , Schauseil (now with Halgadom ) and K. started a new life in another city. Möbus is the best-known representative of the NSBM in Germany .
