Sam is a rebellious princess who is second to the throne of the Kingdom of Illyria . She develops superpowers because of a gene that is only found in second-borns of royal descent. Together with four other second-borns, Tuma, Roxana, January and Matteo, she is invited to a secret club that covertly ensures the safety of the world. But before they can be used, the five must assert themselves in a secret training camp.

In March 2019 it was announced that The Secret Club of the Second Born Royals was in development for the streaming service Disney + , with Zanne Devine, Austin Winsberg and Mike Karz as executive producers , Anna Mastro as directors and Alex Litvak and Andrew Green as scriptwriters. In May 2019, it was announced that Élodie Yung would star , Peyton Elizabeth Lee was confirmed as the lead actress, and Greg Bryk as the antagonist. Filming took place in Ontario on May 6, 2019 . The official trailer for the film was released on May 27, 2020.
