action

For most children it is a part of it and natural to imagine their own future. But that doesn't apply to everyone. For Nidhi from India, Albert from Cuba, Deegii from Mongolia and Tom from Uganda this is a big step that is associated with a lot of uncertainty. All four want to achieve more of their lives and something, but their dreams have a difficult path ahead of them. Since everyone comes from financially weak families, it is their own willpower that makes up for this lack. With an unbelievable ambition for their age, they face all the exams, passing them will help them achieve their dreams. Nidhi spends days and nights over her books to get closer to her dream job of being an engineer. Albert dreams of a professional career as a boxer, but first he has to win an important fight. Little Deegii trains very hard to be accepted into a contortionist school. Tom desperately wants to become a ranger in a national park and therefore faces many tests in which his knowledge is tested. One thing unites them all: they bravely and resolutely face all of these challenges in order to realize their dreams through their own strength and make their families proud.

criticism

"Although Plisson smoothed out this well-behaved linearly staged documentary with some scenes that appear to be re-enacted and provided it with the positive perspective of a motivational speaker, it nonetheless delivers impressive images of the poor but resourceful everyday life of Nidhi, Albert, Deegi and Tom."
