Derrick Lee Morgan (* 6. January 1989 in Lancaster , Pennsylvania ) is a former American American football poker players in the National Football League (NFL). He played nine seasons for the Tennessee Titans as an inside linebacker .

college

Morgan attended the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) and played for their team, the Yellow Jackets, college football from 2007 to 2009 , where he held various positions on the defensive line . In total, he was able to set 115 tackles and score 19.5 sacks .

NFL

In the 2010 NFL Draft , Morgan was selected by the Tennessee Titans as the 16th player in the first round. In his rookie season he was used as a defensive end . After a tailor-made start - in his first game as a professional he also managed his first sack - his first season came to an abrupt end after four matches due to injury.

In 2011 he was able to establish himself as a starter and was also an integral part of the Titans' defensive line in the following seasons.
