The Descent Glacier is a short and steep glacier in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It flows between Briggs Hill and Condit Glacier from Descent Pass to Ferrar Glacier .

The glacier got its name in memory of the adventurous descent (English descent ) that the team led by Albert Armitage undertook in 1902 on the Discovery Expedition (1901-1904) over this glacier. The name, on the other hand, only appears to appear on maps from the Terra Nova Expedition (1910–1913). Both research trips were led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott .
