Detlef Budig (born August 3, 1967 in Creglingen , Franconia ) is a German radio presenter and media consultant .

Life

Budig began his career in 1989 at Radio TON Bad Mergentheim .

After reunification, he moved to Antenne Thüringen in 1991 and helped to set up the new station as a morning presenter and chief producer. A year later he left Weimar and went to SWF3 in Baden-Baden . At the same time he studied media economics at the Wiesbaden University of Applied Sciences . In 1994 he moved to Hit Radio FFH in Frankfurt and Bad Vilbel . There he successfully hosted the morning program Guten Morgen Hessen for ten years together with Johannes Scherer .

Budig left Hit Radio FFH in the summer of 2010 after 18 years and switched to SWR1 Rheinland-Pfalz . There he moderated the morning and the SWR1 hit parade . In the summer of 2015 Budig returned to Hessen and took over the Hr1 early broadcast Start there, alternating weekly with Marion Kuchenny .

Budig worked as a media consultant for the (bci-group) for public and private broadcasters until the end of 2019.

On January 1st, 2020 Budig left the bci group and has been working on various projects in his own company since then.

Detlef Budig has been moderating hr1 Drive Time since August 2018, alternating with Tim Frühling. His successor in the morning is Thomas Koschwitz.
