The German Society for Implantology (DGI) or German Society for Implantology in the Dental, Oral and Jaw Area is a German dental specialist society in the field of oral implantology . It is an associated specialist society in the German Society for Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine (DGZMK), which, as an umbrella company , includes 34 dental specialist societies, working groups and working groups. It was founded in 1994 and is registered as a registered association at the Munich District Court.
As part of the medical training in the field of implantology, it offers a (non-governmental) "curriculum implantology". She is also involved in the postgraduate course for Master of Science in oral implantology , which is offered at the private Steinbeis University in Berlin , as well as in a master’s course at the Dental University Institute of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main .
The DGI also participates in the development of dental guidelines as part of the AWMF
