German handball championship (women) 1961

The fourth German indoor handball championship for women was held on February 18, 1961 in Ketsch , North Baden . The champions of the regional associations, Southwest, West, North and Berlin as well as two representatives of the organizing regional association South had qualified for the final round. The six teams initially played in two groups. The two best placed progressed to the semi-finals, the two bottom of the group contested the game for fifth place. The German champion was again the RSV Mülheim .
