Dexter's Laboratory ( . English Dexter's Laboratory ) is an American animated - television series from the years 1996-2003, by Genndy Tartakovsky created and Cartoon Network was produced. The series is about Dexter, a highly intelligent boy who has a huge secret laboratory in his parents' house.
characters
- Dexter is a very intelligent boy, around eight to ten years old. Dexter has red hair, glasses, always wears a lab coat and "zipper boots" - black boots with zippers and has a " funny accent " in the English original . His parents are under no circumstances allowed to find out anything about his huge secret laboratory, which is larger inside than the house in which it is located. In contrast to his sister Dee Dee, he is very small and is interested in all kinds of technology and science fiction .
- Dee Dee is Dexter's big sister who is particularly noticeable for her clumsy jumping around and killing her nerves. She is very simple-minded and disturbs her little brother with her curiosity in his experiments. She has blonde hair and is wearing a pink ballet outfit. However, the series also shows several times that Dee Dee is not your typical, stupid, cliché blonde, as she posts highly complex traps in her room and switches off every security system in the laboratory. She doesn't like Mandark, because she already has a crush named Beau, who on the one hand is at least as intelligent as this one, but looks a lot better. She is very wise for her age and has shown several times over the course of the series that she would do just about anything for her brother.
- Mum is a housewife . She goes shopping, cooks for the family and loves cleaning. Like Dexter, she has red hair. Her trademark are her yellow household gloves.
- Dad is an employee in a factory. He appreciates it when you behave “masculine” around him.
- Mandark is Dexter's antagonist and is actually called "Susan" because his hippie parents wanted to give him an asexual name. He gave himself the name "Mandark". He has black, straight hair that he cuts himself with a (partly) broken shell, which means that he wears an M over one eye in his hairstyle. He also wears semicircular glasses. Mandark's goal is on the one hand the destruction of Dexter and his laboratory, on the other hand world domination. He secretly raves about Dee Dee, who obviously doesn't want to know anything about him. Mandark also has a sister who is as small as Dexter.
- Beau is Dee Dee's great love and therefore Mandark's rival when it comes to her favor. Just like Mandark and Dexter, he's a very intelligent boy whose interests are in science. He is slightly taller than Dee Dee, has brown hair, is slightly tanned and wears a hoodie. Dexter likes him and wants to hang out with him. He's also very friendly.
