Diamond Music is a Puerto Rican music label founded in 2000 by Iván Joy . With his label, the producer has specialized in the genres Reggaeton and Hurban (Hispanic Urban).
history
The Diamond Music label, which started in 2000, grew rapidly and occupied important positions in the Latin American music market. This is where the careers of popular reggaeton artists such as Zion y Lennox , Tego Calderón , Jowell y Randy , Yaga y Mackie and Johnny Prez began . Ivy Queen , Eddie Dee and others have had their careers here.
The first album by the reggaeton duo Yaga & Mackie Sonando Diferente from 2002 is considered the jewel of reggaeton. It was sold over 70,000 times worldwide and reached 10th place on the Latin Pop Charts and 22nd place on the Latin Albums Charts. The album had many guest musicians such as Tego Calderón , Julio Voltio , Daddy Yankee , Johnny Prez, Pedro Prez, Maicol & Manuel, Baby Rasta & Gringo and Cheka. This production made Yaga & Mackie international artists.
In 2003 the albums Kilates and The Majestic were released , which had great success in the Latin American music market. The Majestic was the most famous compilation that featured Nicky Jam , Ivy Queen , Tego Calderón , Eddie Dee , Zion y Lennox and Maicol & Manuel . This was later followed by the album The Dragon by Johnny Prez, which also attracted attention in Asia and made him the most important reggaeton artist on an international level.
In 2004, The Majestic 2 - Second Empire, a label sampler on the market, featured Ivy Queen with the song Yo Quiero Saber , Johnny Prez with Te Gusta Seducir , Tego Calderón with Naqui Naqui and others. The other song by Tego Mira Quien Llega from his album Planet Reggae made him known worldwide and was a great success on the Latin American music market. The rapper TNB was also a successful record producer for Diamond Music.
The next album by the duo Yaga y Mackie Clase Aparte was released in 2004. The most famous track on the album is La Batidora and was created in collaboration with Don Omar . In the same year Diamond Music continued its success with the album Los 12 Discipulos . This compilation was produced by Ivan Joy and Eddie Dee. The album, with contributions from Eddie Dee , Daddy Yankee , Zion y Lennox , Ivy Queen , Tego Calderón , Julio Voltio , Vico C , Johnny Prez and others, was nominated for a Latin Grammy.
Diamond Music is currently recognized as one of the leading record labels in Latin America, engaged in promotion, distribution and digital logistics. CDs by Lucecita Benitez ( La Voz Nacional ), Arcángel , Conjunto Canayón, Orquesta Corporación Latina, Sophy, Jadiel, Rey Pirin, Brian Michael, Arquímedes, Yaga y Mackie , Lourdes Robles , Manolo Lezcano , Lunna and Lou Briel are available at the music market . More than 35 videos from the Hispanic Urban genre have been produced at Diamond.
In 2010 the pianist Isidro Infante and Ivan Joy founded Artist System Inc., which takes care of the production and promotion of the sound carriers in cooperation with Diamond Music. The company works with the artists Isidro Infante, Lucecita Benitez, Lunna, Lou Briel, Lourdes Robles, Conjunto Canayon, Orquesta Corporación Latina, Jowell & Randy, Arcangel "La Maravilla", Tego Calderón, Jadiel, Endo, Guelo Star, Los Metalicoz, Kastrofobia u. v. a. together. Artist System Inc. is President Isidro Infante and Ivan Joy is Vice President. Diamond Music is currently part of Artist System .
