Dibromophenols
The dibromophenols form a group of aromatic compounds that are derived from both phenol and bromobenzene or dibromobenzenes . The structure consists of a benzene ring with an attached hydroxyl group (-OH) and two bromine atoms (-Br) as substituents . Their different arrangement results in six constitutional isomers with the empirical formula C 6 H 4 Br 2 O:
