action

An ingenuous Dub is the Carl-Henning from a small Southern Jutland village. In the dairy, which employs him as an apprentice, and at home on his father's farm, there are more bad words for him than good words, because Carl-Henning touches everything with great enthusiasm, but also with two left hands. However, the boy only gets into real trouble after his friend Poul has left the village to seek his luck on the racing track with motorsport in town. When Carl-Henning ran out of money while dancing, he wanted to “borrow” some from the dairy's cheese box. His teacher surprises him, however, and when he hits Carl-Henning, he falls so miserably that Carl-Henning thinks he has killed him. Thereupon he flees to Poul in the city, but before he can get everything back on track - the master is only slightly damaged - unsuspecting Carl-Henning goes on a smuggling tour, falls into the water and drowns.

Award

criticism

The evangelical film observer sums up his opinion as follows: "The film, simply told and also a bit noisy, wins through its milieu drawing and the convincing representation of Jesper Klein in the title role."
