Poul Glargaard (actually: Poul Glargaard Rasmussen ; born April 11, 1942 in Denmark , † October 17, 2011 in Frederiksberg , Denmark) was a Danish theater and film actor .

Life

Poul Glargaard made his debut at the Aarhus Teater in Aarhus in 1966 , where he worked there for several years in a row. He then went to the Det ny Teater (The New Theater) in Copenhagen . Glargaard played the leading role there in various comedies and dramas , for example in the productions by Ann Jellicoe Min skøre mors hobby (English original title: The Sport of My Mad Mother, German title: Meine Mutter macht Mist mit mir), Piger i sky ( The Girl in the Clouds) and Harvey . Since the late 1960s, he has focused his work as an actor in film and television . There he played in numerous successful Danish film productions and well-known television series . He was also involved in several radio play productions known in Denmark . Among other things, he retold the classic horror stories of the Danish writer and actor Jan Gustavsen , which were a great success, mainly with younger people.

According to the Danish police, Poul Glargaard committed suicide in his apartment on October 17, 2011 , and pills and pills and a suicide note were found there. The memorial service took place on October 25, 2011 in Solbjerg Kirke (Solbjerg Church) in Frederiksberg. Glargaard originally wished to be buried anonymously in an unknown grave, but was then buried in a communal grave (Danish: Birkelunden ) in Søndermark Kirkegård (Søndermark Cemetery) at Søndermarken Park in Frederiksberg.
