The Rotkäppchen-Ultimatum ( English Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil ) is an American computer-animated family film from 2011 . The film is the sequel to The Little Red Riding Hood Conspiracy (2005).
content
Little Red Riding Hood is in the middle of her hand-to-hand combat training in a Himalayan monastery. The "Happy End Agency" HEA cannot do without Little Red Riding Hood's help when the attempt to rescue the children Hansel and Gretel from the hands of the wicked witch goes wrong. In addition, the grandmother is kidnapped and is supposed to reveal the secret recipe of the chocolate truffles, which give superhuman powers, to the wicked witch. Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf have to work together against their will to save the situation because the headquarters of the HEA was devastated by a horde of pigs and help is no longer possible from there.
criticism
Turbulent and entertaining family film (FSK 6), which can only partially be regarded as a continuation of the Little Red Riding Hood conspiracy . On the one hand, the concept of telling an incident from the - completely different - perspective of all those involved was abandoned in favor of a linear jump-and-run story. On the other hand, in some places the logic of the plot suffers from the effort to accommodate all the characters from the first film somewhere in the plot.
Trivia
Like its predecessor, the Rotkäppchen ultimatum is full of allusions to other films. The opening sequence of the combat training that Little Red Riding Hood goes through in the Himalayan monastery of the "Sisterhood" is reminiscent of the beginning of Johnny English - especially now , which appeared in the same year. The rescue of the tartlet basket that fell from the bridge by means of a bungee jump is reminiscent of the corresponding scene in Kevin Costner's Waterworld (1995). In the final scene Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf get into a car with the design from the television series Starsky & Hutch .
