action

The film is set in Sweden in the late 1950s. He describes some life paths of so-called thugs . The group has its clubhouse far outside the city. Bad things happen to those who violate the unwritten laws of this clique. Rolf is considered particularly inconsiderate. He regards Bibbi as his property. When she pulls out and wants to go her own way, her "friends" tore her out of the dance hall where she has a rendezvous with an elderly gentleman, put her in the trunk of a car, drive her to a swamp and throw her into it.

Lars is a somewhat shy boy who comes from a good family. When he heard of Bibbi's punishment, he went straight to the swamp and got the girl out. The two take a bath in a nearby lake. Then Bibbi changes clothes at home. Then Lars wants to go somewhere with his new crush, just not to the others. The only bad luck is that Bibbi's handbag is still in Rolf's car. So the two of them cannot avoid heading for the clubhouse again. As soon as they are there, there is a fight between Rolf and Lars, in which Rolf emerges as the winner. Thereby he recaptured Bibbi according to the laws of the clique.

When Rolf notices that Lars is following him in his car, he sets a trap for his rival. He chooses a path that leads over a jetty into a lake. Shortly before the bridge, he brakes sharply at the roadside. Because Lars is unfamiliar with this street, he drives his car straight into the lake. Rolf and Bibbi get out and stare at the air bubbles rising from the sinking car. Bibbi furiously insults Rolf as a murderer; she quickly gets into his car and sped away.

criticism

The lexicon of international films refrains from evaluating and merely notes that the film depicts a moral picture of Swedish adolescents who cannot feel at home at home, with seduction, an argument about a girl and, finally, the usual car accident.
