The Men of Saint Malo ( French original title: Corsairs et Flibustiers = Corsairs and Flibustiers , alternative title: Les Corsaires ) is an adventure television series from 1966, which was dubbed by German television in 1975 and broadcast in the GDR . The fictional plot is set in the 17th century and takes place in Saint-Malo and the Caribbean .

Captain Nicolas Parray de Coursic sails from Saint-Malo to the Caribbean and fights against Spaniards and filibustiers like François l'Olonnais . He also met the later author Alexandre Olivier Exquemelin . After a successful mission, he returns to France.
