The Sons of the Trinity (original title: I 2 figli dei Trinità ) is a spaghetti western comedy with the comedian couple Franco & Ciccio , which premiered on August 3, 1973 in German-speaking countries. The alternative title is Zwei Fuckel im Wild West .

action

Trinità's sons, Franco and Ciccio, open a horse filling station. They soon greet famous guests: Sartana, Ringo, Django and Jack Gordon drop by. When Calamity Jane arrives, she hands the two not exactly skillful gentlemen a treasure map, which she has taken from Requiem, which she in turn captured in a train robbery. When Franco and Ciccio go in search of the treasure, the deceiver "4 Aces", with the help of the seductive Lola, manages to arrive at the designated place before the two of them. The gang of Ching Chung Chumper also intervenes, which is further complicated by the unsuccessful actions of the two idiots. Ultimately, however, you can get the treasure for yourself and convert your gas station into a modern service center.

criticism

The lexicon of international films was not enthusiastic about the "attempt at a genre parody, sloppily staged." Genre connoisseur Christian Keßler also remarks that the director does not know how to properly stage the two of them and is affected by a much more shaky script than in Giorgio Simonelli's films with the duo. Joe Hembus notes that director Civirani is reviving his screenplay idea of the horse gas station from the film Ric e Gian alla conquista del West ; however, “the Trinità films cannot be parodied because they were already parodic burlesque.” The Segnalazioni Cinematografiche also blame the film's weakness on the script and the direction.
