The federal government represents the print media that are most affected by digitization and - even if employees are trained in how to publish articles online - ultimately have to implement cost-saving measures and vacate offices. The echo of the times as a radio broadcast by the public broadcaster SRG SSR sees its existence threatened by the federal popular initiative “Yes to the abolition of radio and television fees (abolition of Billag fees)” . Using Watson , the film shows how advertising-financed online media use mobile phone videos, push messages, a fun section and native advertising to maintain a significantly different form of journalism in order to achieve reach. The Republic finally - which was still in the establishment phase during the filming - is the attempt to establish a purely reader financed online magazine that is committed to quality journalism.
