Little Horsemen is an American TV movie from 1996 .
action
The young American Joanne Hunter has lived with her grandparents Roden in the Dutch city of Kerkendam, which was occupied by German troops, since her mother died as a result of the war . The occupation troops under Hauptmann (in the original Capt.) Kessel try to break the morale of the townspeople. The young lieutenant Braun is also quartered with the Roden family. Furthermore, the statues of the church clock, which commemorate the liberation struggle of the Dutch in the 16th century, are to be melted down into war material. However, Joanne's grandfather manages to save the statues shortly before they are threatened with evacuation. A dramatic hunt for the characters begins and Lieutenant Braun also finds himself in an ever deeper dichotomy between the fulfillment of duty and the brutal rule of his superior.
