Dieter Bartke

Dieter Bartke (born December 5, 1954 in Duisburg ; † August 7, 2002 in Düsseldorf ) was a German handball goalkeeper .

Dieter "Olli" Bartke celebrated his first successes with the OSC Rheinhausen , later played at TUSEM Essen , Frisch Auf Göppingen , TuRU Düsseldorf and from 1987 at TSV Bayer Dormagen , where he was the goalkeeper again between 1993 and 1995 together with Andreas Thiel Duo made. They were considered the best goalkeeping duo in the league.

In total, he came to 312 Bundesliga appearances, in which he held 181 seven meters, and completed 23 international matches for the German men's national handball team . He made his international debut on November 7, 1976 in Eppelheim against the national team of Czechoslovakia.
