Dieter Glös

Dieter Glös (* 1951 in Neuhausen , Erzgebirge ) is a German cantor and organist .

Live and act

After his graduation in Dresden and Halle as cantor and organist in piano, organ, improvisation , counterpoint , harmony, ear training, music theory, morphology, singing, conducting, choral conducting, score reading, organ building and organ customer, he completed private organ studies with Hans Otto at the great Silbermann organ in Freiberg Cathedral , dealt intensively with the performance of early music and took part in several interpretation seminars for early music.

From 1978 to 2012 he was cantor and organist at the Gothic St. Mary's Church in Angermünde at the famous baroque organ by Joachim Wagner from 1742–1744 and in the church district of Uckermark. His extensive concert activities at home and abroad have taken him to Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Poland, France, Japan, Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil. He made the Wagner organ famous with his television and radio recordings and several CD recordings. For his commitment he was awarded the culture prize of the city of Angermünde and has been rector of the Uckermark-West Pomerania Organ Academy since 2010.
