Dieter Glandt

Dieter Glandt (born October 17, 1949 in Dinslaken ; † March 29, 2019 in Rheine ) was a German biologist , herpetologist and specialist book author.

Life

Glandt studied biology , geography , palaeontology , geology and philosophy at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and at the Westphalian Wilhelms-Universität in Münster from 1969 to 1980 . In 1977 he passed the state examination for teaching at grammar school. 1980 followed by a doctorate in zoology. Until 1984 he was a research assistant at the Biological Institute Metelen eV (Westphalia), an institution for applied research and nature conservation, and then until 2004 head of the Biological Institute Metelen. Since its closure he has worked as a book author, his main interests were corvids , reptiles and amphibians .
