Dieter Gust (born March 21, 1955 ) is a former German soccer player . He played in the position of goalkeeper.

1974 changed Dieter Gust from SV 03 Tübingen to then reigning German Amateur champion SSV Reutlingen 05 . After the SSV became champions in the 1st amateur league Black Forest-Bodensee in the season 1974/75 , Gust was in the 1-0 victory of the SSV in the final of the Württemberg amateur championship against VfR Aalen in the Reutlinger Tor. In the subsequent round of promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga , Gust's competitor Rolf Kirsch was in action in all six group games. When the promotion was sealed in the 3-0 win of SSV Reutlingen against VfB Eppingen in the last group game, Dieter Gust came on for Kirsch in the 87th minute. In the second division season 1975/76 Dieter Gust was preferred to his rivals Rolf Kirsch and Joachim Grüninger in nine professional games and was substituted on for Kirsch in another second division match. After the relegation of SSV Reutlingen at the end of this season, Dieter Gust moved to VfR Aalen.
