Dieter Heise

Dieter Heise (born May 11, 1918 in Magdeburg , † September 12, 1999 in Brieske ) was a German pharmacist.

Life

Heise was born the son of a teacher. He passed his Abitur in 1937 at the Magdeburg Domgymnasium and took up an internship at the Ratsapotheke with Eduard Blell . The family lived at Herderstraße 11 in the Wilhelmstadt district of Magdeburg . After taking a pre- examination in 1939 , he went to Braunschweig and studied pharmacy at the Technical University of Braunschweig . During the Second World War he was captured as a German soldier. After his return he worked in several pharmacies and then continued his studies in 1948, this time at the Free University of Berlin . In 1949 he finished his studies and worked as a pharmacist in Haldensleben and Magdeburg. Around 1950 he lived again at Herderstrasse 11. In 1952/53 he worked as a production manager at Dr. Blell & Co. on.

In 1953 he was then head of the pharmaceutical packaging and ampouling division as well as the scientific medical service at VEB Fahlberg-List in Magdeburg-Südost. After receiving his doctorate from Harald Bräuniger in Rostock in 1957 with a dissertation on the study of the biosynthesis of ephedrine , in 1958 he took over the management of the company's pharmaceutical research department.

From 1960 he took over the management of the Magdeburg Rats-Apotheke, which was re-established in 1958. He ran this largest pharmacy in the city until his retirement in 1983. In a press conference with the national daily newspaper Neue Zeit of the East CDU, to which he belonged, Heise , who was awarded the title of Oberpharmazierat , looked at the 25th anniversary of the council he headed -Apotheke back and mentioned the individual pharmaceutical production there and the modernization of the premises for the pharmacy emergency service that took place in 1978, especially for night duty.

Heise became known as an industrial and dispensing pharmacist in specialist circles and from 1965 to 1985 he was a member of the Central Advisory Committee for Drugs as a representative of dispensing pharmacists . From 1967 to 1981 he was chairman of the Magdeburg group of the Pharmaceutical Society of the GDR . He held several patents, in particular for appetite suppressants and X-ray contrast media .

For his work, he received the Hufeland Gold Medal in 1964 and the Döbereiner Medal in 1976, the highest award from the Pharmaceutical Society of the GDR.
