Dieter Helmut Stolz

Dieter Helmut Stolz (born September 20, 1916 in Karlsruhe , † November 17, 1999 in Salem - Neufrach ) was a German German philologist and cultural advisor.

Life

Stolz was born the son of the chief editor Ernst Stolz and his wife Elisabeth and studied in Freiburg i. Br. And Munich German studies, history, art and theater studies. In 1942 he received his doctorate from the University of Munich under Hans-Heinrich Borcherdt with a study on Rudolf G. Binding and his poetry . Later he wrote the article about Rudolf G. Binding for the NDB . After short professional years in Munich as an assistant at the Institute for Theater History, he came to Lake Constance in early 1944, where he initially worked as a teacher in Salem and later as a journalist. From 1959 to 1966 he was cultural advisor for Überlingen . He gave the laudatory speech when Jacob Picard was awarded the Bodensee Literature Prize . He was a member of the board of directors of the Association for the History of Lake Constance and its Surroundings . From 1966 to 1978 he was cultural advisor for Lüdenscheid . In 1978 he moved back to Unteruhldingen on Lake Constance . In Überlingen he worked with Siegfried Lauterwasser .
