Dieter Hoffmann (politician)

Dieter Hoffmann (born April 22, 1934 in Sellin , Rügen district , † November 24, 2005 in Potsdam ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Dieter Hoffmann attended secondary school and did an apprenticeship as a hairdresser . Later he did a police training . In 1959 he joined the SPD. In October 1967 he moved from the police service to the Public Services, Transport and Traffic Union (ÖTV), where he later became managing director of ÖTV Berlin . Since Jürgen Brinckmeier became Senate Director in April 1976, Hoffmann moved up to the Berlin House of Representatives . In April 1979 he left parliament. After the early Berlin election in 1981, he moved back to the House of Representatives in July, as Martin Raasch was elected to the district councilor in the Neukölln district. In 1985 Hoffmann resigned from parliament for good.
