Dieter Klopfer

Dieter Klopfer (born November 7, 1949 - June 19, 2008 ) was a German engine developer.

Klopfer gained with a three-cylinder - Zweitakter international prominence with which he in 1973 at the Hockenheimring in the Motorcycle World Championship took -Lauf. Although it only finished 35th, international manufacturers became aware of his engine development. Klopfer founded Diko Motoren GmbH and supplied, among others, Reinhold Roth , Sepp Hage , Graziano Rossi and Freddie Spencer with engine parts. For the 2008 season he supplied the Grand Prix team of KTM with crankshafts . He also supplied the HRC Germany with crankshafts.
