Frederick "Freddie" Burdette Spencer junior , (born December 20, 1961 in Shreveport , Louisiana ) is a former American motorcycle racer and three-time world champion . Because of his driving style, he was also called "Fast Freddie" or "the extraterrestrial".

In 1983 he won the 500 cm³ world championship as the youngest motorcycle world championship pilot to date (this record was only broken by Marc Márquez 30 years later ), two years later he was double world champion in the classes up to 250 and 500 cm³.

After that, there was no success and bad luck with injuries and failures followed. He attempted a comeback in 1993 , but by the end of the season he had only won two points. Since 1997 he has been running Freddie Spencer's High Performance Riding School in Las Vegas .
