Esteve "Tito" Rabat Bergada (born May 25, 1989 in Barcelona , Catalonia , Spain ) is a Spanish motorcycle racer . In the penultimate race of the 2014 motorcycle world championship  , Rabat won the Moto2 championship in Sepang , Malaysia .

His nickname is Tito .

Career

In 2005 Esteve Rabat received a wildcard for the Valencia Grand Prix in the 125 cc class and made her debut there in 24th place in the motorcycle world championship . In 2006 he competed, first as a wildcard and later as a regular driver for Honda BQR, in further races in the eight-liter class of the World Championship.

In the 2007 season, Rabat drove his first full Grand Prix season as a member of the Repsol Honda team . With third place in the Chinese Grand Prix , he took his first podium and finished the season in eleventh place, one place behind his British teammate Bradley Smith . In 2008 the Spaniard rode a KTM for the Spanish team and was unable to achieve a podium, as was the case in 2009 in his first season on Aprilia .

In 2010 Rabat started for the Aspar team of four-time world champion Jorge Martínez . He finished third in Spain and the Czech Republic and finished the season in sixth overall.

In 2013 he won his first race in Jerez on the 113th attempt.

In the 2014 season he won the World Championship title in the Moto2 class on Kalex and came third in 2015 . In the 2016 season he switched to MotoGP and initially drove for Honda for two years . He has been with Ducati since 2018 .
