Dieter Reichardt

Dieter Reichardt (born March 23, 1938 in Bechstedtstrasse ) is a German Romanist .

Life

From 1958 he studied Romance and German at the University of Hamburg . In 1959/1960 he completed a Curso de Hispanística para extranjeros at the University of Barcelona . From 1963 to 1965 he was an assistant at the Ibero-American Research Institute at the University of Hamburg. From 1965 to 1971 he was a scientific consultant at the Institute for Ibero-American Customers Hamburg. After receiving his doctorate in 1966, he did research in Argentina from 1973 to 1974 . From 1974 to 1975 he was a lecturer at the University of Bremen for Spanish literature and language. From 1975 to 1983 he was a research assistant at the Ibero-American Research Institute at the University of Hamburg. 1983/1984 he represented a senior scientific council position at the University of Mannheim for Hispanic Studies . From 1983 until his retirement in 2003 he taught as a professor (C2) at the Ibero-American Research Institute of the University of Hamburg. In 1987 and 1990 he held short-term lectureships in Cosenza and Concepción (Chile) in 1990.

His main areas of work are Spanish literature with a focus on the 16th and 17th centuries and Hispanic American literature of the 19th and 20th centuries with a focus on the La Plata states as well as Chile, Colombia and Cuba.
