Dieter Schulte (born June 9, 1941 in Schwäbisch Gmünd ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

From 1982 to 1993 he was Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Minister of Transport .

education and profession

After school in Schwäbisch Hall and Cedar Rapids graduated Schulte, a study of the jurisprudence in Heidelberg , Berlin and Würzburg . He then worked as a research assistant at the seminar for international private law at the University of Würzburg . In 1975 he received his doctorate here as a Dr. jur. with work The connection of overriding norms, in particular of a commercial law nature, in international contract law .

Dieter Schulte is married and has two children. He lives in Betttringen near Schwäbisch Gmünd .

Political career

Schulte has been a member of the CDU since 1964. He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1969 to 1998 . From 1980 to 1982 he was chairman of the transport / post working group of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group .

Dieter Schulte has always entered the Bundestag as a directly elected member of the Bundestag constituency Backnang - Schwäbisch Gmünd .

On October 4, 1982 he was appointed Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Transport in the Federal Government led by Federal Chancellor Helmut Kohl ( Kohl I cabinet ). On January 21, 1993 he left office in the Kohl IV cabinet .
