Dieter Steinecke (politician, 1954)

Dieter Steinecke (born January 16, 1954 in Hilten ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After graduating from high school in Nordhorn , Steinecke did his military service as a temporary soldier in the Bundeswehr from 1972 to 1974 . He then completed a course of study for teaching at secondary level I and worked as a teacher from 1980 , from 1982 to 2003 at the secondary school in Uelsen .

Dieter Steinecke is married and has a daughter.

Political party

Steinecke joined the SPD in 1981 and has been chairman of the SPD district association Grafschaft Bentheim since 1992 .

MP

Steinecke has been a member of the municipal councils of Uelsen and the Uelsen community since 1986 . Since 1996 he has also been a member of the district council of the Grafschaft Bentheim district .

From 2003 to 2007 he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament until he moved up to the German Bundestag on June 2, 2007 for the resigned MP Hans-Jürgen Uhl . In 2009, Steinecke ran for the 17th German Bundestag for constituency 32, Mittelems . Since he could not obtain a mandate, he resigned from the Bundestag in October 2009.

Dieter Stein corner was over the provincial election proposal in the parliament of Lower Saxony and on the national list Lower Saxony drafted into the Bundestag.

Public offices

Steinecke has been the deputy mayor of the community of Uelsen since 1986 .
