Dietrich Ungerer

Dietrich Ungerer (born January 27, 1933 in Heilbronn ; † June 5, 2013 ) was a German sports and safety scientist .

Life

Ungerer studied sports science at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the German Sport University Cologne . From 1956 to 1967 he was a research assistant at the Georg August University of Göttingen with Wilhelm Henze and Ruprecht Karls University of Heidelberg and a student of psychology (second degree).

In 1967 he became head of the Institute for Physical Education at the Technical University of Berlin . From 1973 to 1998 he was professor for sports science with a focus on kinetics (or sensorimotor and safety science) at the Ergonomics Institute of the University of Bremen .

Ungerer was u. a. Adviser to security authorities, co-founder of the working group for sport psychology in the Federal Republic of Germany , member of the advisory board of the University of Public Administration Bremen and member of the board of the Society for Security Science .
