Claus Freiherr von Rosen

Claus Freiherr von Rosen (born October 6, 1943 in Flensburg ) is a German officer ( lieutenant colonel retired) and educationalist . Since 2002 he has been head of the Baudissin Documentation Center at the command academy of the Bundeswehr in Hamburg.

Life

Von Rosen joined the Bundeswehr in 1963 after graduating from high school . After that it was used differently u. a. as a training officer at the Bundeswehr staff academy in Hamburg.

From 1973 to 1978 he was released to study educational science , political science and sociology at the University of Hamburg (diploma). He was a student of Wolf Graf von Baudissin and remained connected to him until his death. In 1981 he was awarded the dissertation educational reform and inner leadership. Reform approaches for school staff officer training, illustrated using the example of the staff academy of the Bundeswehr (1966–1973) for Dr. phil. PhD.

In 1978 he became a teaching staff officer for methodology and didactics at the Army Technical College for Education (FSH Erz) in Munster . It followed u. a. an activity with S 3 at the combat troop school II in Munster and later a lectureship for educational sciences at the leadership academy of the Bundeswehr (FüAkBw) in Hamburg. As a military educator, he is one of the leading figures in the Inner Leadership . a. In the 1980s, the exhibition "Uprising Conscience, Resistance against Hitler" was established as a Bundeswehr exhibition and the Clausewitz seminars were headed as part of general staff training . He retired as a lieutenant colonel in 2001.

von Rosen has headed the Baudissin Documentation Center at FüAkBw in Hamburg since 2002 . In addition, he has been co-editor of the Innereführung yearbook , together with Uwe Hartmann , since 2009 .

At the National Defense Academy in Tartu (Estonia) he holds a professorship for military education.

Von Rosen was a member of the parish council of the Melanchthon parish in Hamburg.

Von Rosen is chairman of the family association of the von Rosen family.

Von Rosen is married and has three children.
