Dietrich von Theobald
Dietrich von Theobald (born January 11, 1908 in Karlsruhe , † October 5, 1991 in Montgeron , France ) was a German film producer .
Life
The son of a board member of UFA completed an apprenticeship in banking and then studied law for two years. In the late 1920s and early 1930s he lived in London and Paris to study languages .
In lab Éclair Tirage he came up with the French film in contact. From 1931 he worked for the UFA, first as manager , starting in 1937 as production manager and since 1939 as a manufacturing group leader. He was a participant in the Second World War.
It was not until 1950 that he was able to continue his previous career at the production company Camera-Film GmbH in Hamburg . Since 1953 he has worked as a production manager or executive producer for Capitol-Film in Berlin .
