action

Four young students live in Berlin who may not have any money, but try with a lot of imagination to bridge it. They are Michael, a student of economics, Franz the law student, Robert studying art and Jimmy, an American whose old car they are bringing an air freight to the airport to top up their bank account. Here they meet the beautiful Italian Angelina Borelli, who, as agreed, is not picked up from the plane by her aunt Frau Homann. They decide to drive the young woman to her aunt. Shortly before the departure, however, this arrives, but Angelina left her bag in the car in the rush. Since the four friends have taken a liking to her, they now have a reason to reactivate the abruptly interrupted connection and go to Aunt Homann's. On an appointment for the “Italian Night” at the radio tower, Franz, Robert and Jimmy want to fight for the girl's favor in a fair competition. Michael should be the referee here. What no one could have guessed, Angelina had chosen shy Michael as her dancer.

The friends come to terms with the defeat after learning from their aunt that Angelina is a very wealthy girl with a parental factory in Italy. In the hope of getting a good job here after graduation, they continue to promote the relationship between the two. Only Michael is horrified when he learns the real reasons for the "selfless" behavior of his friends and decides never to see Angelina again. She has since returned to Rome for family reasons. Michael has suffered badly from the separation and even fails completely at an intermediate examination. His professor Behrens noticed the connections and made it possible for one of his best students to drive to Rome for an international soccer match. Angelina is overjoyed to have Michael back with her and he also makes a good impression on her father. Over a glass of wine he tells him about his friends' plot and to teach them a lesson, he invites the three to Rome.

With his irony, Mr. Borelli hits the friends so deeply that they decide to leave immediately. They can also convince Michael that he does not fit into this milieu and that he will take them back to Berlin on a truck. But now Her Borelli takes the helm again and drives after the refugees with his daughter. Since you are much faster by car, you will soon catch up with the truck in a small town and cause a major traffic jam here. When they meet Angelina and Michael again, they embrace, because their hopes have been fulfilled. But this adventure should not have been in vain for the friends either.

The lexicon of international films describes the film as harmless, unrealistic entertainment in the style of a modern fairy tale, which, thanks to the good actors, is quite charming.
