Dileep George

Dileep George (born August 5, 1977 ) is an AI researcher and neuroscientist . In 2005, George developed basic ideas for hierarchical temporal memory and founded the startup research company Numenta, Inc. with Jeff Hawkins and Donna Dubinsky . In 2010, George left Numenta to found the company Vicarious with D. Scott Phoenix , which was founded by the Internet Billionaires Peter Thiel and Dustin Moskovitz was supported.

George is the author of 22 patents and many peer-reviewed publications on the mathematics of neural networks . The results of his research have appeared in the New York Times , BusinessWeek , Scientific Computing , Wired , Wall Street Journal , and Bloomberg Television .

George received his PhD in electrical engineering from Stanford University in 2006 and continues his neuroscience research as a visiting scholar at the Redwood Neuroscience Institute at the University of California, Berkeley .
